Congratulations to a member of the Unity Support Riders who provided successful assistance to an injured biker!
The incident between a car and the biker happened just a few days ago. The rescuer immediately went to direct onlookers to ensure scene safety before approaching the casualty. The biker was in a serious condition, with obvious leg deformities and neck pain. The rescuer took control of the bikers head and neck and continued to lead the rescue until he was moved onto the board and into the ambulance.
The rescuer’s verdict ‘with all the first aid training I’ve had over the years, it was the FBoS course that flooded to the front of my brain. The biker even thanked me as they put him in the ambulance.’
