Here are a few recent stories from incidents where FBoS Skills were put into action.
John of Celtic Thunder HOG was in touch in August and informing us of a small collision whilst in Scotland. The safety and road closure management which were put in place, were commended by the Scottish paramedics, saying they thought police was already at scene dealing with the accident. Thankfully the rider only had soft tissue injuries.
Following a long chat with a colleague from FBoS in Mayo in October, we were advised of a recent incident at an organised run. A ‘new to biking’ rider in his 50’s was due to meet the group at an arranged. But he came off on a left hand bend and was found laying upside down. Thankfully CABC was intact. But he had chest pain and was short of breath after impact with the road sign. FBoS assisted with other key players until Ambulance and Helimed arrived. Despite a collapsed lung and small tear in major blood vessel he’s now on the mend.
This is the third incident in recent months that we have been notified about. We wish all injured bikers a speedy recovery and thank all FBoS practitioners for their quick thinking and actions that helped support the casualties.
